A desktop computer is a personal computer designed for regular use at a single location on or near a desk or table due to its size and power requirements.

  1. Monitor

It is the output device on which computer displays the information. A monitor usually comprises the visual display, circuitry, casing, and power supply.

Types of Monitor:

  1.    CRT Monitor (Cathode Ray Tube)
  2.       LED Monitor (Light Emitting Diode)
  3.       LCD Monitor (Liquid Crystal Diode)
  4.      Plasma Monitor
  5.    OLED Monitor (Organic Light Emitting Diode)

 

Mouse

The mouse is a hand-held device that transmits your commands to the computer by controlling the movement of the cursor/pointer on the computer screen. As you move the mouse, the pointer on the screen moves in the same direction.

Douglas Engelbart is computer mouse inventor.

 

Types of Mouse:

3.      3. Laser Mouse

It is an input device through which user enter data or instructions into the computer.
